About Us
Albufera Landscapes was founded in 2020 by Keiron Pratt and Maria Triguero.
As humans, we don’t just exist within nature; we are part of it. We are designed to actively and lovingly participate in the living systems that sustain us. Our well-being, purpose, and sense of meaning are deeply intertwined with this connection. Whether it's for physical or emotional nourishment, we depend upon living earth. In the last two centuries, we have forgotten our intricate bonds with the natural world, and the extractivist approach is now exposing its destructive consequences.
Modern society promises happiness and fulfillment, yet when we look closely, we see a fragile illusion—one that prioritises economic gain over embodied, meaningful living. This disconnection leaves us feeling alone, ungrounded and unfulfilled.
Instead, what if we turned inward and asked, 'What truly holds the most value in our lives?'
Albufera Landscapes was born from this very question. May it be a space for deep connection and healing—for ourselves and to the living landscapes around us.

Keiron Pratt - living earth practitioner
Having grown up in nature on a large forested property in Queensland, Australia, in a family dedicated to working with the natural world it was inevitable that I adopted an affinity towards working with the Earth. Over the years I have continued to uncover my connection within nature, one that moulds my life and work.
On this journey I have kept my hands in the Earth as a professional Landscaper with more than 20 years of experience and as a Permaculture designer. I work with Earth wherever I live and I consciously spend as much time as I can in nature, this has been my practise.
I was introduced to Dowsing and subtle energy work 15 years ago, randomly, from a very unlikely teacher. Dowsing has guided my professional work in an intuitive and felt way. For me, it's a way of working with landscape that honors stewardship and reverent collaboration with natural systems.
Alongside this I have practised meditation for most of my life, mainly aligned with the Mahayana Buddhist tradition, and over the last 10 years I have been teaching meditation in Australia, Spain, India and Nepal at various Buddhist centers. I have worked in various management roles in Buddhist Centers including Spiritual Program Coordinator at a large Buddhist center in Australia. I have been fortunate to study under many esteemed Buddhist teachers and Lamas. My main teachers include Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Rob Preece, from which I have received much guidance over the years.
This various, and seemingly different work, has provided a solid foundation for me to continue to offer my professional work more holistically. It has allowed me to be a facilitator of projects, enabling the living earth and clients to come together and reach beneficial outcomes, rather than dictating nature to conform to human centred agendas.
My style is honest and down to earth. I like to work with people and connect people to the methods I have practised and found to be so helpful in my own life. I do my best to share from experience and not just a learnt knowledge.
Nothing makes me happier than working from within nature and not against it and giving a reason for people to go deeper; into themselves and into living earth.
Maria Triguero

Maria grew up in the Mediterranean coast of Spain; among mountains, rocks, olive trees, grains, grasses and holm oaks.
She brings to Albufera Landscapes her background as a sociologist with participatory town planning experience. Maria has completed her Masters in Ecology and Spirituality and is also a qualified Permaculture Designer with much experience in this area.
“I’d like to share the history behind the name of the business ‘Albufera’, which comes from a place near my hometown. This Arabian name is given to a fresh water lake where the eels are abundant. Interestingly, Keiron’s hometown, called ‘Eudlo’, holds the aboriginal meaning of ‘place of the eels’. It is interesting how we move across the globe and this totemic animal that crosses water and land has connected the two of us from one side of the planet to the other, moreover it is our passion to work amongst land and water to bring reconnection to people’s everyday life and spaces.”
